Use these links to find resources and information that will help you outline your Individual Development Plan (IDP). Other options that you discover on your own are also available for you. There is no limit to the number of resources you may use, but to make things a little easier, start with using three or less resources at one time.
Be sure to build in check points for yourself along the way. How long your IDP will last is up to you and your Department Manager to determine.

Monterey County Behavioral Health - This organization is here whenever you, your family, or friends need help to go forward in life. No one should go through difficult times alone.
Wellness
Use the Montage Health “Worksite Wellness” portal to create healthy habits and goals related to wellness. Many MFC employees already have a login and password for this web based resource which we use for our annual BioMetric Screening. Click on the Learning Center from the Home Page to access hundreds of webinars that will benefit your body, mind, and spirit.

Teach a Class
If you are already a Subject Matter Expert, consider teaching a class to other MFC employees, or setting yourself up for one-on-one instruction where you teach someone else a skill you know.
MFC Worksite Committees
Create a plan to become more involved in Monterey Fuel Company by joining a committee or become a committee Project Leader. This is also a great avenue to learn more about cross training into another department.
Network
Find local organizations to network with and join in their conversation. Volunteer for a cause you believe in.

Monterey Peninsula College - Ready to Work Programs by Pathways has 68 different certificate programs to choose from including hospitality, business, personal training, culinary arts, and more!
Aviation Programs
Gavilan College - This is an FAA approved school and has been offering an Aviation Maintenance program for many years leading to a rating for Aircraft & Powerframe (A&P) mechanic. Students gain hands on experience as well as classroom instruction while working on single and twin engine aircraft at the San Martin airport.
